The award-winning journalist Eduardo Galeano famously noted, “History really never says goodbye. History says, ‘See you later.’”
While the breakneck pace of bicycle development can sometimes make mere minutes-old designs look like museum exhibits, the history of speed never goes out of style. Fueled by a passion for speed that cut its teeth in the shadows of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Zipp applied its quest for speed to the world’s purest speed machine — the bicycle. And it made history in the process.
Zipp made history when its engineers developed the first carbon tri-spoke wheel and pioneered aerodynamic bicycle design. It made history with the bicycle industry’s first carbon hubs, structural carbon wheels and carbon cranks. And Zipp inked its name into the history books with the first carbon-wheel wins on the brutal, mythical cobblestones of the Ronde van Vlaanderen and Paris-Roubaix.
Our new Zipp History T-shirt gives you the chance to soak up a bit of that history of Zipp speed — off and on the bike. [note: retro hair and clothing styles not included. Or necessary.]
See you later.
